The route will start from the center of the old nucleus of Barni in the direction of Magreglio in favor of a woodland path.
You will first maintain the direction of "Conca di Crezzo" and then "Castel del Leves."
The route will be increasingly pleasant as you reach a natural water bubble, which allowed the watering of grazing livestock.
You will reach the chestnut forest with the Memorial of the 1987 plane crash inside, when an ATR 42 crashed in the area. Also here is the viewpoint Castel del Leves, formerly a signal and watch tower, overlooking the Lecco branch of Lake Como.
It continues until the forest of Castanun de Buncava the most important green monument in the mountains of "Triangolo Lariano". The Chestnut of Barni is undoubtedly among the most beautiful specimens in Lombardy with an immense trunk with a circumference of more than 7 and a half meters.
From this point the descent to Barni will begin, encountering the Romanesque Church of SS. Peter and Paul.
